The optimum thermal coupling from block to test object is achieved by the correct transition sleeve. Ideally, the bore in the sleeve has a 0.5 mm larger inner diameter than the outer diameter of the DUT. With the help of the transition sleeve almost all straight temperature sensors with different lengths and diameters can be calibrated. The drying block covers the entire temperature range without changing the calibration medium. The user does not have to take into account viscosities, flash points or outgassing.
