Dry block function:

The dry block function has been developed to allow easy calibration of the temperature in laboratory and field use. The optimum thermal coupling from block to test object is achieved by the correct transition sleeve.

Ideally, the Bore in the sleeve a 0.5 mm larger inner diameter than the outer diameter of the specimen. With the help of the transition sleeve almost all straight temperature sensors with different lengths and diameters can be calibrated. The drying block covers the entire temperature range without changing the calibration medium. The user does not have to take into account viscosities, flash points or outgassing.
